On October 31, 2023, a Santa Fe jury decided that Andrea Lovato was not fully at fault for the accident and that State Farm had breached the $1,000,000 contract, committed bad faith, and violated the Unfair Trade Practices Act and Unfair Insurance Practices Act. The Jury awarded the family $12,000,000 in damages for the auto accident and another $24,000,000 in bad faith damages with $20,000,000 as punitive penalty damages to State Farm. The $36,000,000 verdict gave the family confirmation and validation that Andrea Lovato was not 100% at fault for the accident as State Farm always claimed her to be and that their conduct was cruel and malicious to the family.

From Joshua Archuleta, Amber's Father Thank you to everyone that came today to Amber's memorial and to those who were unable to join us in person, but that are still supporting our family and the Questa community in the loss of our beautiful Amber Archuleta.  The Community’s response and help in these trying times have been overwhelming and amazing in helping my family make sure that Amber is not forgotten. While the family, especially Amber’s brothers, Frankie and Joshua, and myself, have been dealing with the hardest loss imaginable for a father and family, the community has been here to help us in the worst moment of my life. I will never forget that and can never say thank you enough.

The family of Bennie Hargrove is angry about the lack of action by Washington Middle School as Bennie Hargrove would be here today if the staff and administration at APS had done their job. They violated their own policies and procedures creating a dangerous environment for all of Washington Middle School's children that ultimately resulted in the shooting death of Bennie Hargrove by another student.

Thank you to everyone that came today and to those who were unable to join us in person, but were here in their thoughts and prayers. The family appreciates the community’s continuing support in honoring Mary and seeking a change to the system that killed her. Mary was a happy and innocent lady who was always ready to make people laugh. However, Mary’s caretakers abused her innocence. They were allowed to torture and kill Mary in a system that allowed a felon to control Mary without any oversight and/or supervision. The community has raised its voice that change is necessary and necessary now.
